1969 Ford Galaxie Wiring Diagram

I have a 69' Galaxie that was given to me that has been sitting for quite a while, it will crank so engine in not stuck. I have a few pictures of some of the wiring that looks like the rats have gotten to. the red and black wire come off alternator and I don't know where they go, the coil possibly need some help with that. Also picture of black wire that looks like comes from back side of motor/firewall. If anybody has any ideas that would be greatly appreciated.

i've got a 69 390 parts car out back. if you don't get a reply by the time i can get to it (i'm pbly out until the weekend) i'll take a look saturday.

That looks like you engine harness, there is basically 3 wires in it from what I recall. I think one goes to coil, one goes to the temp sender and one goes to the oil sender.

Hello when you get a chance can you look at your parts car with the 390 to see where those wires go by chance?

woops sorry brad i had assumed you've gotten an answer. i'll look tomorrow morning when it's daylight and get back to you. hopefully i can find something out.

brad. i don"t know the proper names for some of this stuff but here ya go.
on the wires that come off the firewall and lay on the engine next to the driver side valve cover.
1). white w/red stripe- goes to top of the oil filter holder.
2). red w/green stripe- goes to small canister looking type thing that is attached to the center plug in on the distributer cap. the wire also has a green connector on it that snaps onto the canister.
3).red w/stripe- goes to what looks like a temp sensor or something that screws down into the front of the intake maifold up on the front of the engine around where the distributer is.
in regards to the wires coming off your altenator that is all long gone on my 390 parts car but on my 429 car the only wires comeing off my altenator go first to the inside stud on the selanoid located on the passenger inner fender. the rest of the wires from the altenator go to the regulator which on my 429 car is located up front under the passenger fender and screwed to the radiator support area. those wires are all wrapped so i can"t make out much on the color of them.
